West Suffolk Sands - Bird Boxes 2025 edition

2025 saw another request from our local branch of the Sands charity, which supports families experiencing bereavement.

One of their workshop activities for children is painting, and this year they wanted a repeat of the bird boxes we did last year as the medium. Obviously this involves drafting in our resident woodworking machine Stefan, who tackled the task with his characteristic eye for detail and consistency. Giles commissioned some 3D printed birds to complete the look :)

Jess from Sands visited us at the shed to collect them, and sent us an update of the painting activity. We are looking forward to the next assignment from them!
